Abstract Instruction

  • Abstracts are limited to 400 words.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in clear ENGLISH.
  • An abstract must have a short specific title (please use bold font and containing NO abbreviations) that indicates the nature of the investigation.
  • The applicant must be the first author of the manuscript submitted for consideration.
  • Submitted abstracts should fall into one of three presentation types: (1). Case Studies/Case Report (2). Original Research (Original Article) (3). Clinical Trial

Submission Guidelines

  • All abstracts MUST be submitted and be received before May 31, 2019 through Online Abstract Submission System.
  • Abstracts must be divided into sections: Title, Background/Synopsis, Objectives/Purpose, Methods/Results, and Conclusion that states the importance and potential implications of the observations. Abstracts must be proofread carefully to avoid errors before submission.
  • Abstracts must contain generic drug names only.
  • The Primary Author MUST register for the APSAVD 2019 Scientific Sessions to ensure his or her abstract(s) are included in the abstract publication and website. Deadline for author registration is June 30, 2019.
  • Encore research is eligible for submission but the original date and location of presentation of the research must be disclosed in the application.
  • The Scientific Program Committee may select an abstract for an oral or poster presentation. Preference for poster presentation may be indicated at the time of submission. While APSAVD 2019 cannot guarantee that your preference will be selected, every effort will be made to accommodate your request.
  • Expenses associated with the presentation of an abstract are the responsibility of the presenter.
  • Outstanding abstracts will be considered for oral presentation and competitions. Finalists will be awarded for their excellence.
  • An individual may present a maximum of one oral and three poster presentations during the congress.

  • Epidemiology of ageing, vascular disease, dyslipidemia or metabolic syndrome
  • Basic science research of atherosclerosis, endothelium, inflammation, microcirculation or thrombosis/hemostasis.
  • Cardiometabolic disease: basic / translational science and clinical research
  • Familial hypercholesterolemia: basic / translational science and clinical research
  • Imaging in atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease
  • Lipids and lipoprotein metabolism: basic / translational science and clinical research
  • Microbiota and nutrition: basic / translational science and clinical research
  • Novel interventional therapies for atherosclerosis, vascular disease or metabolic disorders
  • Vascular diseases and thrombosis: clinical science
  • Big data and precision medicine
